Whale flatulence Stuns Scientists
OK, so this has nothing to do with producer news, but it's Friday, so what the heck. Being a follower of science, this has to be one of the most stunning shots of the century. And it's funny - well, I think so anyway. Hit the link on the headline above if you would like the full story.

"IT'S one of the unfortunate consequences of being a mammal - flatulence.

The researchers claim this is the first photograph of a minke whale letting one go in the icy waters of Antarctica. It was taken from the bow of a research vessel.

"We got away from the bow of the ship very quickly ... it does stink," said Nick Gales, a research scientist from the Australian Antarctic Division. "

5.1 KING FOGEL STEPS UP
If you've been to the movies in the last year or so, you have no doubt been lovingly surrounded by none other than Chris Fogel and his larger than life 5.1. Having mixed the score and score album for Universal's "Johnny English, recorded and mixed the scores for " Dreamworks' "Old School," Spyglass' "Reign of Fire," Miramax's "A View From The Top" and Columbia's "The Sweetest Thing," it is no surprise that he has stepped up to the producer chair. Musically speaking, that is. He produced, recorded and mixed the amazing score for "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" as well as New Line's forthcoming "Laws Of Attraction" and "Win A Date With Ted Hamilton." His next undertaking will be "Skeleton Key."

And just because the film world has embraced him with such vigor does not mean he has turned his back on his artist roots, where he is famous for mixing the likes of Alanis Morissette, Aerosmith, Robbie Robertson and Sheryl Crow amongst many others. You can hear his mixes on Samantha Ronson's forthcoming Rocafella album produced by Duncan Sheik.
